About Me

I love food, and the care it takes to get it right. That same drive shows up in sport, where I am competitive because I want to push myself, not just to win. I am chasing the same thing: doing it well and loving the process, whether I am cooking or competing.

My Goals

I want to spend my career making food safer without compromising what makes it good, finding ways to protect people’s health that does not ask them to compromise quality or flavour. It is a principle I carry into everything because anything worth doing deserves the effort of doing it right.

Why I Love SA

I love South African food and culture because of how willingly people share it. So much of the world can be self-focused, each person or group looking inward, but South Africa is different. It’s a community, built on the act of sharing itself: food, stories, traditions, all offered rather than kept.
